If you are a Mac user or iOS user, you must be familiar with Safari. It is a user-friendly web browser which released by Apple. Does Safari run as fast as Google Chrome? Yes, Safari has pretty well running speed. However, Safari will slow down for many reason as well. Here we will talk about how to fix Safari running slow. You can try those methods when you find out Safari for your iPhone or iPad running a bit too slow.

Method 1. Clear History

It’s always advisable to clear history and website data from time to time to keep the web browser uncluttered. So you need to cear history and website data frequently.

Just go to Settings and tap on Safari. After that, you can select "Clear History and Website Data" to remove unwanted files.

Method 2. Disable Background App Refresh

Turn off the background app refresh to accelerate Safari. It will work well in not only saving plenty of battery on your device but also making the browser run more smoothly. Here are the instructions.

Go to Settings > General > Background App Refresh > Tap on Background App Refresh in iPhone Settings > Turn Off Background App Refresh > Turn Off Background App Refresh on iPhone

Method 3. Turn off Automatic Downloads

You can improve your web browsing experience by disable the automatic downloads of apps or music. And you can let Safari run faster.

Go to Settings > iTunes & App Stores > Toggle Off switches under Automatic Downloads.

Method 4. Disable JavaScript

Turning off JavaScript can help you fix the lagging issue. However, some interactive elements might not work on the websites you will visit.

Tap on Settings > Tap on Safari > Scroll Down and tap on Advanced > Toggle Off JavaScript > Turn Off JavaScript in Safari on iPhone

Method 5. Reset Network Settings

Resetting network settings from time to time will be very handy in resolving the issue. Frankly speaking, it's one of my favorite tricks to get rid of the lagging problem.

3 Tools to Transfer Data from iPhone to PC

With backup files, you can recover lost or deleted iPhone data easily. That is why Apple always recommends iPhone users to back up data. In this post, I would like to present 3 tools to transfer data from iPhone to PC. You can use any of them to back up iPhone files to your computer.

1. Use Windows AutoPlay

Step 1. Plug in your iPhone via USB.
Step 2. Open the Settings menu on your PC and click Devices.
Step 3. Click on AutoPlay on the left side of the screen.
Step 4. Click on Choose AutoPlay Defaults to tell your PC where to put your photos, files and music.
Step 5. Transfer data from iPhone to PC

2. Use iCloud

Step 1. Make sure your iPhone is running the latest version of iOS
Step 2. Turn on iCloud on your iPhone.
Step 3. Click Settings > iTunes & App Store on your iPhone and enable automatic downloads.
Step 4. Download iCloud for Windows to your PC from Apple's website.
Step 5. Open iCloud and sign in with your Apple ID.
Step 6. Click any of the iCloud services you'd like to enable and click Apply.

PS: You can use similar way to transfer files from iPad to PC.

3. Use iTunes

Method 1. Sync data via Wi-Fi

Step 1. Confirm that your PC is running the latest version of iTunes
Step 2. Connect your iPhone to your PC via USB
Step 3. Click on the device icon.
Step 4. Click on the Summary tab and click "Sync with this device over Wi-Fi."
Step 5. Click Apply and disconnect the USB cable.
Step 6. Select the content you want to sync and iTunes will automatically transfer data from iPhone to PC.

Method 2. Sync Data via USB

Step 1. Open iTunes and make sure you've got the most recent version.
Step 2. Connect your iPhone to your PC via USB.
Step 3. Click on the device icon.
Step 4. Click on Settings on the left side of iTunes to see the types of content you can sync.
Step 5. Click on the content you want and then click on Sync in iTunes.
Step 6. Click Apply in the lower right corner of iTunes. It should start to sync automatically. Now each time you connect via USB and have iTunes open, your devices will sync.

How to Fix iCloud Storage Full Issue

What should you do when you receive an login to iCloud message? Tidy up your iCloud space? Delete some idle files and documents? Well, I am going to present some solutions to this storage full issue. Maybe you can select one of them to manage your iCloud space after reading. Now let's start to see those solutions.

1. Purchase more iCloud storage

Apple gives you 5GB of free iCloud storage and you could always just increase the amount of storage space you have by purchasing more from Apple.

Step 1. Go to Settings > iCloud > Storage.

Step 2. Tap "Buy More Storage"

Step 3. Select the plan that is right for you (50GB for $0.99/month, 200GB for $2.99/month, 1TB for $9.99/month, or 2TB for $19.99/month).

Note: Your iTunes account will be charged immediately and will renew automatically until you change or cancel your plan. You can see that this storage will be shared among all your devices if you login to iCloud on those device.

2. Check your other iOS devices

If you share multiple devices under the same iCloud account, you will need to manage storage from those devices as well. When you receive the iCloud storage full message, you may need to manage the storage of other devices on your account. Check your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch to see where the excess storage usage is happening.

3. Delete Documents and Files on iCloud

You can follow Apple's prompt and manage your storage in Settings by deleting some of the Documents or data that you might not need.

Step 1. Go to Settings > iCloud > Storage > Manage Storage
Step 2. Select an app under Documents & Data
Step 3. Tap the Edit tab in the upper right corner
Step 4. Select the specific document to remove, or tap the Delete All tab.

Note: You can repeat as necessary until you are taking up less than 5GB of storage. If you choose this way to fix iCloud storage full issue, you had better back up your iCloud data to computer in advance.

4. Specify Backup Data

You can decide which data don't need to be backed up every time. And then set up your backup feature as below.

Step 1. Go to Settings > iCloud > Storage > Manage Storage
Step 2. Select the device you want to manage the backup for
Step 3. Toggle off apps that you do not want to sync to iCloud

Note: the fourth solution will help you to avoid iCloud storage full problem. If you do this one on your iPhone, you will reduce the chance to get "the last backup could not be completed" error when you sync data.

Step 3. Scroll down and tap on "Blocked" to see the current list of contacts blocked from reaching you
Step 4. Press on the "Edit" button in the corner
Step 5. Tap on the red (-) minus button alongside a contact name
Step 6. Confirm you wish to allow that person to reach you again by tapping on the big red "Unblock" button alongside the contact name
Step 7. Tap on “Done” to finish
Step 8. Exit out of Settings as usual
